If You Have An Accident

1. Call for medical and police help. Call 911.

2. If possible, warn motorists approaching accident Scene. Turn on hazard lights.

3. Render aid to those injured if you are qualified.

4. If absolutely necessary for safety, move the vehicles off the roadway. Do not move persons who are unconscious or appear to be seriously injured.

5. Gather as much information as possible and write it down. Write down the license plate numbers of the vehicles involved, the names addresses and phone numbers of all witnesses, the name address and insurance information of the responsible driver.

6. Do not attempt to drive a vehicle that has been damaged and is not safe.

7. See a doctor immediately. Do not delay. Seek treatment at an emergency room or with you doctor immediately and report every injury to your doctor.

8. Take pictures of your injuries and the accident scene.

9. Do not discuss the incident with anyone other than the investigating police officer and your doctor. Do not sign anything until you consult with a lawyer.

10. Consult a lawyer.
